About the Eastern Oromo language

Eastern Oromo, also known as Harar, Harar Oromo, Harer or Ittu, is a language of of Ethiopia with over 25,030,000 users.

It is spoken in the Afar region: south; Dire Dawa and Harari regions; Oromia region: north Bale, east Hararghe, and west Hararghe zones; Somali region: Shinile zone.

Eastern Oromo has no known dialects and is Reportedly similar to Borana-Arsi-Guji Oromo. It is a member of macrolanguage Oromo.

In Ethiopia, Oromo is viewed as one people who speak one language.
